Tina asked if I would write a testimonial for the 7th Path Self- Hypnosis® method and I wondered, where do I begin? I guess it really started when I quit smoking February '07. The hypnotist that succeeded in helping me was getting ready to go back for her doctorate and immediately had recommended Tina to me - in the event I needed a "refresher". Luckily, I never needed that bolstering and have been smoke free ever since. Then, peri-menopause hit 6 months later and I began putting weight alarmingly fast without any other real good reason.

I decided that it was time that I lost weight and change some of my unhealthy ways. I began thinking about my options. It didnt take long before I decided that I would call Tina because she was highly recommended by my original hypnotist. I wanted to see if hypnosis could help with my weight loss challenge.

You see, it's always been a struggle for me to lose weight. I always had to watch what I ate and have always led a very active life - but all that just wasn't cutting it anymore. The first meeting with Tina went well. I told her how it had always been hard for me to lose weight and now that my metabolism with slowing down even more, it had become almost impossible to lose weight. Further, I was struggling in other areas of my life (with 40% pay cuts at work and the emotional/psychological issues that come with it) and was probably (definitely) making other poor health choices (i.e. drinking more than I should and more often than I should...).

I asked Tina to help me make healthier choices with my diet as well as with my lifestyle. And whoa what nice change it's been as a result! It's not just the weight loss (15 pounds so far - 2 months later - which is huge for me!) It's the lifestyle changes, the attitude, the calm I feel; my focus switched from anger, resentment to gratitude, calm and even joy. And yes, I drink less too. I drink a lot less now. Sure I have my moments, everyone does, but they don't occur as often nor last as long as they used to. I can let things go more easily, get past them faster than I ever have before. It really seems like every aspect of my life was positively affected by the 7th Path Self Hypnosis® method. Even some of my friends have noticed a change in me and have inquired saying things like "what are you doing? You have this wonderful calm about you and you're glowing." Actually I have heard it enough times now that I am no longer surprised anymore.

I have Tina to thank for teaching me this method as well as myself. Because not only does one have to be taught well, one has to practice what they've been taught. I am hoping to get back to a healthier weight and am well on my way now - and doing it ever so happily! There are no mistakes. First going into these sessions, I didn't know what to expect. It was a very emotional experience for me that I realize I had to go through to become the person I want to be. I was able to put my past behind me and forgive people that I didn't realize I had to forgive to move on with my life. I am now able to look at things in a different way and be happier with who I am.
